Three generations of families. One club. Playing together on the same pitch, under the same sky, since 1852.
Cambridge Cricket Club was founded in 1852 in what was then the town of Galt — now part of Cambridge, Ontario. From backyard pitches and borrowed whites to league titles and beloved traditions, this club has always been about something bigger than cricket.
We are a community club in the truest sense. Fathers who played here watch their children take guard on the same square. Friendships forged in the field last a lifetime. There is always a cup of tea and a spare set of pads for anyone who wants a game.
We compete in the Hamilton & District Cricket League and welcome players of all abilities — from raw beginners to seasoned club cricketers.

Our junior programme is the heartbeat of this club. Young cricketers come together to learn, laugh, and fall in love with the game — just as generations before them have done on the same ground.
Coached by experienced players from within the club, our juniors learn proper technique, teamwork, and the values of cricket — fair play, patience, and respect for the opposition.
We share a close and long-standing relationship with Galt Collegiate Institute (GCI) — one of the oldest continuously operating secondary schools in Ontario — rooted in a shared belief that sport and education go hand in hand.
From sepia-toned early years to last season's trophy — every chapter lives on in our archive.
An annual celebration of one of Cambridge CC's most beloved members — held each summer in his honour.
"He never missed a match, never turned anyone away, and always had time for the juniors. That's the spirit we play in."
Pat Solomon was a cornerstone of Cambridge Cricket Club for decades — player, volunteer, and the kind of presence that holds a club together. The annual memorial tournament in his name brings together club members past and present, keeping his spirit alive on the pitch he loved.
The tournament is open to all club members and alumni. If you have photographs or memories from past editions, we'd love to hear from you.
